Despite lethargic retail sales,
Puma took advantage of this momentum to boost sales. Puma sales are expected to
rise in the third quarter in 2017. Such gains were not expected by previous
analysts. Puma does not seem to be able to hold back this good news as the
whole new report can be published on October 24, 2017.
The German company is stabilizing
the move thanks to increased sales in the United States. Reported by Business
of Fashion, the sale is able to defeat Nike and Under Armor. In the previous
month, Nike issued a sales report that showed a significant drop. This decline
became the worst in the past 7 years.
The price war between Nike, Adidas,
and Puma is one of the factors driving down the line of sports. But Puma
already anticipate competition and price reductions from the beginning, one of
them by holding Rihanna in some of their collections. The strategy is
apparently able to raise sales of Puma amounting to or about €1,122 billion.
This figure is quite high when
compared with analyst estimates of only €1.091 billion. This amount is
considered sufficient to raise the revenue of the sports brand to €235 billion
or €245 billion by the end of the year. Again this figure exceeded analysts' estimates
of only €217 billion.
But that does not mean Puma depends
only on this value alone to increase sales, Rihanna and Puma will re-launch the
latest collection of Suede Cleated Creper with various colors. The combination
of pink and yellow and green and yellow will be the main theme of this unique
shoe. Thicker soles of shoes or so-called gum rubber soles are the main
characteristics. In addition to comfort, the shoe sole is also specially
designed for spring and cold use.
This collection is planned to be
released via Puma e-commerce. But the $160 boots can still be bought at Puma
offline stores, as well as Copenhagen's Naked online retailers. These shoes
will be Rihanna's third collection with Puma. Previously, the collection of
shoes Fenty x Puma Suede Cleated Creeper also been sold and demanded by fashion
